Common questions

How do I start?

Sign in as a parent, add a child profile with their grade, and tap Start practice. Numi generates a fresh set of problems, the child works them out on the scratch pad, and Numi grades the answers when they submit.

The problems are too easy or too hard.

Change the grade level in the child's profile settings, or pick a different grade for a single session on the practice setup screen. You can also choose focus areas — or turn on automatic focus, which targets whatever the recent results show as weakest.

Can I change the app's language?

Yes. Numi is available in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. It follows your device's language the first time you open it, and you can change it at the bottom of the sign-in screen or in Account → Language. While you are signed in the choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to your other devices. Practice problems are written in the language you choose.

I paid, but the app still shows the free plan.

Open Upgrade and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it still does not unlock, email us and we will sort it out.

What does the paid plan include?

Unlimited practice sessions, up to 50 problems per session, focus areas, automatic focus on the weakest areas, and the progress and accuracy report in history. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Can my child use an Apple Pencil?

Yes. The scratch pad works with an Apple Pencil or a finger. When a stylus is detected, a finger switches to scrolling so a resting palm does not draw — you can change that any time with the Finger switch above the pad.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Account → Delete account. This permanently removes the parent account, every child profile, and all practice history including saved scratch work. It cannot be undone.

What do you do with our data?

Practice problems are generated by an AI provider, and the answers a child submits are sent there to be graded. We do not sell data or show ads. The privacy policy has the full detail.
